Wow, NASA! Way to step up to the plate and challenge the unrealistic beauty standards planets feel they must conform to. Check out these refreshing #nomakeup pictures Nasa just released of Mars. And remember – REAL planets look like this, not like the airbrushed models you see in Cosmos magazine!

  • I know if I had a breakout the size of Olympus Mons on the day of my photoshoot, I’d at least throw some concealer on. But Mars? Too brave for that. You rock that 22km shield volcano, gurrrl!

Sometimes it’s important to be reminded that the planets in our solar system really are just like us, except for being enormous, unfeeling astronomical bodies large enough to form themselves into spheroids through their own gravity.
